This Pendant is hand cut in Mutton Fat Jade. This is the same stone that has been used for statuary and monuments in China. This stone is often chosen in Chinese art because it is a hard stone. It is considered the “Stone of Heaven”. The Pendant has within its design two quails. This too is symbolic for the Chinese. Two quails are a symbol of courage. Quails are, in and of themselves, a Chinese symbol of peace and harmony. At the top of the Pendant is a bale that connects this Pendant to any chain or necklace that you may have. The bale is 18K Gold. The Pendant is 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall (not considering the bale).
